Hollywood’s top social architects, are creating a new “pop-up beach party” appropriately dubbed Beachwood. Beachwood will be Hollywood’s first DAYclub concept, featuring an extraordinary and gorgeous outdoor scene with interactive elements beginning May 22nd and continuing every Saturday over summer from noon until 8pm.
The team thought of the idea while visiting one of the typical Hollywood pool parties, and noticed that nobody was going in the pool. On Saturdays, we think people seem to have substantial energy, and would rather be part of an experience than just sitting by a pool. We believe Sundays will be the new ‘chill-out’ day, while our goal is to make Saturday daytime just as wild as any nightclub, maybe even wilder.
Beachwood fuses together the champagne brunch-mentality of New York (see Bagatelle and Merkato 55) with the Las Vegas pool party (Wet Republic, TAO Beach), resulting in this distinct Hollywood juggernaut. Each party will feel like a special event, with sponsors bringing in special design and décor elements and unique interactive activities.
What to Expect:
From noon-2pm, Beachwood will focus on serving an incredible champagne brunch, featuring bottomless mimosas for $19 (for the whole 2 hours) and a diverse menu that might make you think twice about your usual brunch location. After 2pm, the DJ kicks into high gear, and the cabanas are turned into fist pumping, bottle popping caves. The party continues throughout the day and into the night, until the darkness shuts it down.
When you arrive, expect to find a variety of activities available to suit your Saturday objectives. Grab a $20 massage in the Beachwood SPA, which also features haircuts, massages and even daytime makeup for females. Sponsors will be there each week, putting together their own unique spin on daylife.
Make your way across the newly designed grass dance floor to see if you know who’s taking a dip in one of two “chilled hot-tubs”, which double as private areas if you want to rent it for the day as your VIP table. (If you have to ask how much, then it’s not for you). The private VIP Cabanas are luxurious and spacious; there is not a single bad location in the space. When you order a bottle of DOM, the server will also bring you a watergun on a silver platter. Order a Jerobaum…and you’ll receive a super-soaker (the server can fill the water gun up for you). We can only imagine the water fights that will take place at Beachwood.
Although there’s no pool, don’t expect to stay dry. The innovative production team behind Pandora and the Coachella Oasis have been pioneering a hip way to keep you cool without the pool. Compressed CO2 canons will launch frozen air over the dancefloor to enhance electric energy during a powerful DJ set. 6 water and 6 confetti cannons mounted on the rooftops will help make it rain throughout the 8 hour day. And most importantly, it is all perfectly synced with the music.
Speaking of music, world renowned DJs are booked sporadically throughout the summer. And the extensive list of sponsors are bringing along some surprise performances- as Beachwood makes a perfect stop for Hollywood’s best talent before they head to their nighttime gigs in Vegas.
Expect Beachwood to evolve each week, as it’s the first of its kind, things will only get more creative.
